Forge Innovations Limited ("Forge", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.

- Account information: name, email address, and business details you provide on sign-up or in settings
- Financial data: accounting records imported from connected integrations (Xero, Fergus) such as invoices, transactions, contacts, and job data
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions within the platform
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and error logs
- Payment data: billing information processed by our payment provider (we do not store card details)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- provide, operate, and improve the Forge platform
- generate financial insights and AI-powered analysis using your business data
- process payments and manage your subscription
- send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets)
- monitor platform health and diagnose errors
- understand how the platform is used so we can improve it
- comply with legal obligations
Third-Party Services
Forge uses the following third-party services to operate the platform. By using Forge you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these providers in accordance with their own privacy policies:

Cookies
We use two categories of cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and keeping you signed in. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics cookies that help us understand how the platform is used. These are only set after you give consent via the cookie banner.
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for forgeinnovations.nz.
Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our infrastructure providers maintain their own security certifications. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sharing Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
- with the third-party service providers listed above, to operate the platform
- where required by law or to comply with a legal obligation
- to protect our legal rights or the rights of others
Your Rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand) you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- request corrections to inaccurate information
- request deletion of your data where appropriate
- raise a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner

Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days unless we are required to retain it by law.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via an in-app notice. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
